FC Sabah, Azerbaijan's representative in the UEFA Europa League, has played the second leg match within the first qualifying round. The team from Azerbaijan was a guest of the Slovenian team Celje.
After the full time of the match held at the Selje Stadium ended to FC Sabah 3-2. All three goals for the team were scored by Joy-Lance Mickels (9th, 63rd, 64th minutes). Since the Slovenians won the first match in Baku by the same score, extra time was played.
During the added minutes, the home team equalized the score 3-3. As a result, Celje won 6-5 on aggregate and advanced to the next stage.
FC Sabah will continue to play for the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round. The opponent will be the Moldovan club Petrocub. FC Sabah will play its first-leg match away on July 24, as well the second-leg match at home on July 31.
