FG. Azerbaijan – Uzbekistan: Coaches’ thoughts

Jose Alesio Da Silva (Head coach of the national team of Azerbaijan): “Today we had a better concentration for the match. Because we made a lot of mistakes in yesterday's match. We analyzed this and tried to draw conclusions from our mistakes. Of course, we had a conversation before the game. We have proven that we are better prepared with our game.

Tomorrow I will give my decision regarding the final squad. Twelve of the futsal players here will travel to Croatia with us. Two more players will come to Osijek. Hard games await us. The team has a specific purpose. We must move towards our goal”.

Bahodir Ahmedov (Head coach of the national team of Uzbekistan): “We played badly in the first half and made a lot of mistakes. Perhaps our confident speech in the first game had some negative effects. Instead, our opponent played a very motivated, aggressive game. During the break, we were gathered the players and asked them to play our own games. We saw the fruits of this in the second part. I can say that we played well and we won in the second half. In general, I was pleased with the games we played in Baku. Because we faced a strong opponent like the Azerbaijani team.  There are quite experienced futsal players in the squad of our opponent team.”
