Another event within the Let's Develop Sports in the Villages Project was held in Bilasuvar by the joint organization of AFFA, the Youth Football Federation and the Bilasuvar Region Executive Power.
The project is based on the recommendations of President Ilham Aliyev on the development of sports in rural areas during a meeting with athletes on December 29, 2019 at the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan.
AFFA Vice-President, Member of Parliament, Rauf Aliyev; Head of the Bilasuvar Region Executive Power Faig Gurbatov; Members of Parliament Sabir Hajiyev, Bahruz Maharramov and Head of the Bilasuvar Region Youth and Sports Department Azad Guliyev and other officials attended the event.
A total of 50 schoolchildren were given sportswear and balls to increase their interest in football, during the event. Young players demonstrated their football skills. It is intended to implement such events within this project in other regions of the country, too.
