Neftchi FC met FK Zeljeznicar (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in the second leg match within the UEFA European Conference League second qualifying round.
Azerbaijani representative, which drew 2:2 in the first leg game, defeated his opponent in 2:0 in the second leg matchheld at Bakcell Arena and qualified for the next round according to the results of two games. The goals of Neftchi were scored by Kenny Saief in the 20th minute and Eddy Israfilov in the 68th minute. Note, that Neftchi FC will face Besiktas FC (Turkey) in the third qualifying round. The games of this round will be held on August 10-17.
The other representative of Azerbaijan in the UEFA European Conference League Gabala FC lost the match against Omonoia (Cyprus) in 1:4 and stopped its competition.
