A new appointment has been made to the coaching staff of Azerbaijan Under-20 team. According to the decision, Vagif Javadov has been appointed as the assistant coach of the Under-20 team.
During his professional player career, Vagif Javadov played for clubs such as FC Qarabag, FC Baku, FC Keshla (currently FC Shamakhi), FC Khazar Lankaran, FC Gabala, FC Sumgayit, FC AZAL in our country, and a foreign player in the squad of FC Twente in the Netherlands, FC Volga in Russia, FC Gaziantep BB and FC Boluspor in Turkey. He made 58 appearances and scored 9 goals for Azerbaijan national team in 2006-2014.
Vagif Javadov started coaching in 2020 and worked at FC Sumgayit and briefly at the Kazakh club Turan. The specialist, who started coaching as an assistant in the U-19 team of FC Sumgayit, later worked as a head coach at FC Sumgayit-2. He was head coach of the main team of FC Sumgayit in the second half of the season 2024/2025.
