Members of our national team Abbas Huseynov, Namik Alaskarov and Rustam Ahmadzadeh spoke to affa.az before the Moldova-Azerbaijan international friendly match which will be held in Chisinau tomorrow:
Abbas Huseynov: "The team has a very good atmosphere. According to the instructions of the head coach, our training camp continues. He is an experienced trainer. We try to do what he requires of us on the field. We have already played two games. Separately analyzing, we played very well against Turkey. I can even say that it was one of our best games. Unfortunately, we did not win. We proved in the game with Belarus that we play football worthy of victory. It is gratifying that we won the second game. We are preparing for the game with Moldova with the same seriousness. If we fulfill the tasks of the coaches, I believe we will win tomorrow's game as well. Such victories increase the spirit of victory in the team. Winning is important in terms of boosting a player's self-confidence. In general, these friendly matches will have a positive impact on the national team's qualifying matches.”
Namik Alaskarov: "We had a difficult season. The players were somehow tired. This training camp brought us back to readiness. We continue our trainings according to the plan. I don't think we made a bad impression in the two games we played. It is true that the result in the game with Turkey was not what we wanted, but it should be accepted normal. Turkey is a strong opponent and will compete in the finals of the European Championship. In the game with Belarus, although we were behind in the score, we managed to make a turn. We will fight for a good result in the game with Moldova. We have been analyzing tomorrow's game for several days now. I thank the head coach for believing in me and giving me a chance.”
Rustam Ahmadzadeh: "Like any footballer, I was pleasantly surprised when I was invited to the national team for the first time. I was very warm welcomed here. The team has a very good atmosphere. I feel the support of everyone, both on and off the field. I am glad to be a member of this team. I had the opportunity to make my debut in the game with Belarus. When I entered the field, our team was behind in the score. It is gratifying that I had a small share in our victory. I do not want to comment on my future in the national team. The coaching staff will decide whether I will be invited again in the future. Personally, I can promise that whenever I am invited to the national team, I will try to do my best and benefit the team."
