Qarabag FC played the second leg match in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16.
The Azerbaijani team faced off against the German club Bayer 04 at the BayArena in Leverkusen. Unfortunately, Qarabag lost the match with a score of 3-2 in favor of Bayer 04. Qarabag managed to open the score in the 59th minute with Abdullah Zubir's goal, and Olavio Juninho added another goal in the 68th minute, bringing the score to 2-0. However, Bayer 04 bounced back with goals from Jeremy Frimpong in the 72nd minute, and Patrick Schick in the 90+3 and 90+8 minutes.
As a result, Qarabag FC was eliminated from the UEFA Europa League after losing to Bayer 04 Leverkusen with a final score of 4-5.
