Qarabag FC played the second leg match in the UEFA Europa League play-off round.
Unfortunately, the Azerbaijani representative lost 0-2 against the Portuguese club "Braga" at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium. Elvin Jafarguliyev, a player of Qarabag FC, left the field after receiving a red card following his second yellow in the 57th minute. Since the score was tied based on the results of the two games, two extra 15-minute halves were played to determine the winner. Mateus Silva scored in the 102nd minute, and Nariman Akhundzade scored in the 120th+2nd minute, making the total score 2-3. Based on the results of the two games, Qarabag won with a total score of 6-5, becoming the first Azerbaijani club in the country's football history to qualify for the Europa League Round of 16.
The drawing ceremony for the Europa League Round of 16 will be held today at 15:00 Baku time in Nyon, Switzerland.
