At the initiative of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), another educational seminar on Protection of Children’s Rights was organized for schoolchildren at Baku European Lyceum.
The event was intended for 7th grade pupils of the lyceum and carried out by Ofelia Gafarova, an expert on project-based learning at the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Shabnam Eyyubova, an AFFA’s staff member responsible for the protection of children’s rights.
During the interactive event, pupils were informed about the types of rights and their importance in everyday life through various educational games. These games not only increased students' interest in the topic but also contributed to the development of their skills in making the right decisions in different situations and defending their rights. At the same time, participants were explained in detail how to create a safe environment in the football environment and how to prevent violence and discrimination.
In the final part of the seminar, open discussions were held with the active participation of pupils, and ideas were exchanged around real situations. The event was continued in a question-and-answer format and experts answered questions of interest to pupils and listened to their suggestions and opinions.
