A one-week course was conducted for individuals who aspire to become referees and assistant referees. Those who applied for the "Be a Referee!" campaign launched by UEFA were invited for a personal interview. Candidates who passed the initial stage underwent theoretical preparation and challenges to complete the course successfully. The course witnessed a high interest from female candidates which was organized by Turkish expert Hamza Ishin. Candidates who successfully complete the course continue their education with various theoretical training and activities given by former FIFA referees Omar Pashayev and Rahim Hasanov. In the next stage, candidates who pass the game rules exam and physical tests will take their first steps in refereeing, starting with lower category games.
