There was held another meeting for the AFFA Executive Committee today. Before discussing the issues on the agenda, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the militaries who lost their life in the helicopter crash on November 30.
The following decisions were made after the discussions:
1. To extend the contract with the head coach of Azerbaijan national team Gianni De Biasi until October, 2022. To submit a 10-month training plan to AFFA within the next month by the head coach.
2. To appoint the following head coaches to the national youth teams:
U-15/U-16 - Fuzuli Mammadov
U-17 - Elkhan Abdullayev
U-18 - Agil Nabiyev
3. To approve the construction of the Football Academy in Ganja by AFFA in accordance with the tender held by AFFA.
4. To establish a fund to support football clubs in the districts to provide financial support to clubs in the regions. To assign to carry out the relevant legal procedures to the AFFA General Secretariat.
5. To offer for sale AFFA-owned land near “Dalga Arena”, which is not included in the relevant infrastructure.
6. To dismiss Zaur Gahramanov from the membership of the Court of Appeal and Arbitration at his own request. To appoint Gulagha Jabarov a member of the Court of Appeal and Arbitration.
7. To appoint Asgar Abdullayev a member of the Coaches Committee.
8.. To approve financing 150,000.00 US dollar from the FIFA Forward Project for the renovation of the AFFA Football Academy.
9. To approve the allocation of 500,000.00 US dollar from the FIFA Forward Project for the VAR project.
At the end of the meeting, the AFFA Executive Committee sent congratulations to Qarabag Football Club on qualifying for the UEFA Europa League playoffs.
