A preliminary discussion meeting of the 5-star certification model took place at AFFA Headquarters with the participation of representatives of football academies.
The meeting was attended by AFFA Deputy Secretary General Elchin Mammadov, Head of AFFA Football Development Department Sarkhan Huseynov and other staff members.
The minimum requirements, performance indicators, purpose, evaluation methodology and rules for determining star levels of the model were presented during the event. The participants discussed opinions and suggestions regarding individual provisions of the document.
It was stated that the model aims to assess the activities of football academies based on uniform standards, increase quality indicators and form an environment for sustainable development among academies.
The proposals made during the discussions will be considered in the process of finalizing the document.
AFFA aims to develop support mechanisms for academies to ensure quality standards in the areas of structure, management, training process, player development and infrastructure through the implementation of the 5-Star certification model.
