A meeting of the AFFA Licensing Commission was held today.

During the meeting, the commission reviewed the documents of clubs that had applied to participate in the UEFA men's and women's club competitions, the Misli Premier League, and the AFFA Girls Top Leagues for the 2024/2025 season. The AFFA Licensing Commission made the following decisions based on Article 9 of the Rules on Licensing of Azerbaijan Football Clubs (Edition 2023):
 
1. The following clubs are licensed to participate in UEFA men's club competitions: "Qarabag" FC, "Neftchi" PFC, "Sabah" FC, "Sumgayit" FC, "Turan Tovuz" PFC UB, "Zira" PFC.
 
2. The following clubs are licensed to participate in the UEFA Women's Champions League: "Neftchi" PFC, and "Sumgayit" FC.
 
3. The following clubs are licensed to participate in the Premier League competitions: "Araz-Nakhchivan" PFC, "Kapaz" PFC, "Gabala" SC, "Sabail" PFC.
 
4. The following clubs are licensed to participate in the AFFA Girls Top Leagues: "Araz-Nakhchivan" PFC, "Gabala" SC.
 
Clubs that were refused a license have the option to file an appeal to the AFFA Licensing Appeals Committee within 10 days from the date of the license refusal notification.
 
Note: In accordance with Article 14 of the Rules on Licensing of Azerbaijan Football Clubs (Edition 2023), clubs that have received licenses to participate in certain competitions will automatically be considered licensed to participate in other specified competitions for the same season. For example:
- Clubs licensed to participate in UEFA Men's competitions are automatically considered to be licensed to participate in the Misli Premier League and League A competitions for the same season.
- Clubs licensed to participate in Premier League competitions are automatically considered licensed to participate in League A competitions for the same season.
- Clubs licensed to participate in UEFA women's competitions are automatically considered to be licensed to participate in AFFA Girls Top League competitions for the same season.
 
Note 2: The applications of other clubs participating in the current season of League A and League B competitions, as well as in the AFFA Girls Top Leagues, will be reviewed on May 27, 2024, and decisions will be made accordingly.
