Head coach of Azerbaijan Women's national team, Siyasat Asgarov, expressed his views to the AFFA press service regarding the training camp in Kazakhstan.
Head coach said that the atmosphere in the team is high: “Such training camps are very important for us. The more games we play at the international level, the players understand each other so well. It is gratifying that those who are called up to the squad play regularly in their clubs. There are players from the Russian, Turkish, and Kazakh championships who come to the national team. It is very important for us that they play regularly in their clubs. Because they come to the national team camp fully prepared. Unfortunately, some of our players are not participating in the current training camp due to their injuries. I hope that they will recover soon and join the upcoming trainings.”
Siyasat Asgarov emphasized that they will try to achieve successful results in the friendly matches against Kazakhstan: “Our team will do everything to ensure a good end to the training camp. We will play two friendly matches against Kazakhstan. We will try to play both matches at a high level. The World Cup qualifying round awaits us. Our goal is to be fully prepared for those games.”
Note that Azerbaijan Women's national team to play two friendly matches against Kazakhstan in Shymkent on October 24 and 27.
