AFFA has opened the applications for the Women's Coaches Development Program 2026-2027, aiming to support the professional development of female coaches and increase the number of UEFA-licensed female coaches.
Acceptance of applications for the Women's Coaching Development Program
Under this program, female coaches can access development opportunities across various UEFA license levels. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to apply for scholarship support—provided through UEFA Women’s Coach Development Program 2026-2027—to participate in the relevant UEFA courses.
The program envisages the selection of 16 candidates for the UEFA C level, 12 for the UEFA B level, 2 for the UEFA Fitness B level, 2 for the UEFA A level, and 1 for the UEFA Pro level.
Candidates selected for the UEFA C and UEFA B levels will participate in special courses organized for female coaches, while those selected for the other levels will attend standard UEFA courses.
The selected candidates will also be involved in additional professional development opportunities.
 
Who can apply?
Women who are currently working as football coaches or wish to advance their coaching careers may apply to the program. Candidates must meet the license, experience, and admission requirements for the specific UEFA level for which they are applying and must also have access to a suitable team to carry out practical assignments during the course.
Selection criteria
The following criteria will primarily be considered during selecting candidates:
•         compliance with the admission requirements for the specific UEFA level applied for;
•         coaching experience and opportunities for practical activity;
•         motivation, career goals, and future development plan;
•         potential contribution to the development of women's and girls' football;
•         commitment to consistent participation in the course and completion of the program.
 
Selection process
The selection process will consist of the following stages:
1.       Submission of electronic applications;
2.       Evaluation of applications;
3.       Short interview with selected candidates;
4.       Confirmation of candidates;
5.       Nomination of suitable candidates for the scholarship under the UEFA Women’s Coach Development Programme;
6.       Final decision on scholarship support by UEFA.
