The 2025/2026 AFFA Regions League winners have been announced.
“Zangezur” and “Marafon” met in the final match at Shamakhi city stadium.
“Zangezur” defeated their opponent 2-1, became the champion and qualified for the League II. “Marafon” will play a play-off game for a place in the League II.
In the match for the third place, “Bilasuvar” defeated “Shafag” 4-1 and won the bronze medals.
After the matches, an award ceremony was held. Vugar Ashrafli, a player from “Marafon” who scored 78 goals, received the award for the top scorer. Elgun Abbasli from “Zangezur” was awarded the best player of the season in the Regions League.
Finally, “Bilasuvar” were awarded bronze medals, “Marafon” silver medals, and “Zangezur” gold medals and a trophy. The teams were awarded by AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev and the President of the Regional Football Federation Isgander Javadov.
