AFFA Technical Director Edmond Klaus visited the western region of Azerbaijan from October 2 to 4.
During the visit, meetings were held in Ganja, Tovuz, Goygol and Gabala to discuss football development, the activities of football academies and youth player development. Training sessions and matches involving different age groups were also observed.
In Ganja, meetings were held with the management of Kapaz FC and the club’s Academy coaching staff, while in Tovuz, meetings were held with the management and coaching staff of Turan Tovuz FC Academy. The discussions focused on the activities of the clubs and academies, player development and the training process.
Several matches and training sessions involving different age groups were observed during the visit. Edmond Klaus also visited Gabala Football Academy to familiarise himself with its facilities and infrastructure.
The visit focused on football development in the regions, assessing the current state of youth player development and exchanging views on the activities of football academies.
