Araz-Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan’s representative in the UEFA Futsal Champions League, played the first match within the preliminary round today. The team in Group F, played its first match against Sparta Belfast from Ireland.
The match was played at the NMS Sports Palace in Linz, Austria and ended for the champion of Azerbaijan 9-1. The goals for Araz-Nakhchivan were scored by Allex Rezende (2:35, 31:03), Ulvu Aliyev (3:53, 33:21), Carlos Bertuola (10:30, 18:34, 30:10), Alex Teixeira (11:10) and Jean Perruzo (37:04).
Note that Araz-Nakhchivan will face the Scottish team PYF Saltires on August 28 within the round II. The match will take place at the same venue and kick off at 19:00 Baku time.
