FIFA futsal referee Hikmet Gafarli has received an international appointment.
He will be one of the 32 referees who will work at the 2026 UEFA Futsal Euro final stage, which will be co-hosted by Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia. H. Gafarli will officiate matches in Latvia and Lithuania during the tournament.
Thus, for the first time in history, an Azerbaijani futsal referee has been appointed to the final stage of the UEFA Futsal Euro.
Note that the matches of the continental championship will be held from January 21 to February 7, 2026.
