Azerbaijan’s representative in the UEFA Champions League FC Qarabag has reached the second leg within the play-offs. The team hosted the Hungarian FC Ferensvaros.
The match at the Republican Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov ended for the visiting team 3-2. The goals for the Aghdam club were scored by Leandro Andrade in the 25th minute and Abdellah Zoubir in the 45th minute.
Having won the first-leg match in Hungary 3-1 FC Qarabag achieved a historic success by defeating their opponent 5-4 on aggregate.
The champion of Azerbaijan has advanced to the main stage of the UEFA Champions League for the second time since the season 2017/2018, and for the first time in the new format - the League stage.
Note that the draw for the League stage will be made on August 28.
