FC Sabah won Azerbaijan Cup for second time in a row

FC Sabah won the national cup for the second time in a row, defeating their opponent 2-1. The goals for Sabah were scored by Patrick Mbina in the 70th minute and Joy Lance Mikels in the 90+2nd minute. Eren Aydin scored for Zira in the 4th minute.

After the match, FC Zira was awarded silver medals while FC Sabah got gold medals. The awarding ceremony was attended by AFFA President Rovshan Najaf, Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev and Technical and Sports Director of the Professional Football League Elgiz Abbasov. At the end of the ceremony, AFFA President Rovshan Najaf presented the trophy to the FC Sabah.
