“Bakcell Arena” which started using in 2012, has been hosted more than 140 football match and 240 hours trainings until the end of 2017. 53 of them were the international matches.
In May-August, this year the substantial repair works were done in the pitch of “Bakcell Arena” by AFFA and the refreshed grass cover has already become ready to hold the upcoming matches.
Infrastructure projects are being implemented within objectives of the AFFA Grow 2020 development strategy. The artificial grass cover of Kapital Bank Arena at which home matches of “Sumgayit” FK take place is changed to the natural grass and a new natural grass covered training pitch is constructed in the stadium area by AFFA. Also, a natural grass pitch is built instead of an artificial pitch at the Zira Sports Complex's stadium where “Zira” FC hosts home matches.
