A meeting was held at AFFA with the aim of strengthening the role of education in the comprehensive development of child and youth players, maintaining a balance between their sporting activities and academic progress, and expanding their future career opportunities.
The meeting was attended by Leyla Khalilova-Rzazade, member of AFFA Executive Committee; Sarkhan Huseynov, Head of AFFA Football Development Department; Nigar Nasrullayeva, education expert; Kifayat Mustafayeva, Head of AFFA Social and Environmental Sustainability Department; and Zahra Valizade, AFFA Social Projects Manager.
During the discussions, views were exchanged on the regular monitoring of school attendance among child and youth players, the maintenance of their academic performance, ensuring a healthy balance between sports and educational activities, and further strengthening cooperation with parents and educational institutions.
In addition, various mechanisms were discussed regarding the more effective organization of the educational process in football academies, the support of young players personal development, and the strengthening of their preparation for future career choices.
During the meeting, the importance of establishing a unified approach in this field, fostering the exchange of experience between educational institutions and academies, and expanding opportunities for collaboration with relevant stakeholders was emphasized.
AFFA plans to continue meetings in this area, foster cooperation among football academies, and implement initiatives aimed at supporting the success of young players in both sports and education.
