A meeting was held with officials responsible for educational matters at football academies. Organized by AFFA, the meeting addressed issues concerning the children and adolescents training at the academies, specifically focusing on their continued participation in school education alongside their sporting activities, the support of their academic performance, and opportunities for their future development.
During the discussions, issues such as monitoring children's school attendance, maintaining academic performance, balancing sports and educational activities, and strengthening cooperation between parents and schools were addressed.
Views were exchanged regarding the role of education in the comprehensive development of children and adolescent players, the promotion of their academic progress alongside their sporting activities, and the expansion of future career opportunities.
Representatives from clubs and academies shared their experiences and discussed the challenges, as well as potential solutions.
The meeting was attended by Sarkhan Huseynov, Head of AFFA Football Development Department; Kifayat Mustafayeva, Head of AFFA Social and Environmental Sustainability Department; education expert Nigar Nasrullayeva; and individuals responsible for educational matters within football academies.
AFFA plans to continue holding such meetings, encourage the exchange of experience among academies, and identify potential joint initiatives.
