The term of the title sponsorship agreement between the Professional Football League and the "Misli" brand of "Azerlotereya", the legal lottery organizer and sports betting operator of Azerbaijan, has been extended. According to the agreement, "Misli" will be the main sponsor of the Azerbaijan Premier League in the 2024/2025 season, and the national championship will be called the "Misli Premier League".
The agreement between the parties was signed in the event held by the participation of officials. AFFA president Rovshan Najaf, "Demirören Holding" chairman Yıldırım Demirören, Turkish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Azerbaijan Cahit Bağcı, AFFA, PFL, "Azerlotereya" OJSC and football club officials attended the signing ceremony.
The president of AFFA Rovshan Najaf first congratulated the "Garabagh", "Sabah" and "Zira" clubs for advancing in the Euro Cups and then the Azerbaijani sportsmen on the occasion of the athletes winning 2 gold medals at the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games.
The AFFA President said that cooperation with Misli will make the championship more interesting, increase competition and, most importantly, help fans come to the stadiums. He called on other companies and businessmen to support Azerbaijani football.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Demirören Holding" Yildirim Demiroren, who spoke at the ceremony, expressed confidence that the agreement will contribute to an even more successful representation of Azerbaijani football in the international arena. He stated that cooperation will serve the implementation of important projects for the development of football.
Later, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Cahit Bagci, drew attention to the importance of sports in all areas of public life, shared his views on the importance of supporting sports clubs and increasing efforts towards the development of all types of sports, and in this regard, finalized the sponsorship agreement involving "Demirören Holding". He emphasized that he considered it very valuable and significant.
As a result, the parties signed a contract. The contract was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azerloterya OJSC Osman Karakush and the Acting President of the Professional Football League Elgiz Abbasov.
Note that the National Premier League starts today.
