The official presentation ceremony for the APL Fantasy Project, created by AFFA, has taken place. The event at Radisson Hotel was attended by the leadership and staff of AFFA and the Professional Football League (PFL), officials from clubs competing in the Misli Premier League, media, and guests.
The event began with the screening of a video dedicated to the APL Fantasy platform.
Then, AFFA General Secretary Jahangir Farajullayev took the floor and emphasized that the project would contribute to increasing interest in the Azerbaijani championship: “This is a significant day for Azerbaijani football. We are launching the APL Fantasy platform to make our Premier League more engaging. This new product, part of AFFA’s Development Strategy, has been long-awaited by fans. We believe this platform will add a new dimension to our championship and further boost fan interest in the matches.”
For his part, Elgiz Abbasov, Technical and Sports Director of the PFL, expressed his gratitude to those who contributed to the project's realization: “Football is a sport that is constantly evolving. These innovations are also being adapted for the Azerbaijan Premier League. The APL Fantasy will give fans the opportunity to build their own teams. We extend our thanks to the AFFA leadership and the Premier League clubs that supported this initiative for bringing the project to fruition.”
AFFA staff member Ziya Asgarov provided detailed information about the functionality, participation rules, and game mechanics of the APL Fantasy platform.
At the conclusion of the event, a quiz competition dedicated to the 2025/2026 Misli Premier League season was held, and the winner was awarded a prize by AFFA.
