Registration is opening for the Football Lesson in Schools project, which will be implemented nationwide during the 2026/2027 academic year under the organization of AFFA and with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The primary objectives are to increase the physical activity of schoolchildren, promote a healthy lifestyle, expand the mass appeal of football, and engage children in regular sports activities. As part of the project, pupils in grades 5, 6, and 7 at general education institutions will participate in practical football sessions during physical education classes throughout the academic year.
The Football Lessons in Schools Project is implemented entirely on a voluntary basis. Schools and physical education teachers from the schools involved in the Project will voluntarily contribute to the development of football and the creation of a healthy sports environment within schools.
To ensure the project’s successful implementation, AFFA will provide participating schools with the necessary sports equipment. Additionally, various training sessions, seminars, and methodological support programs will be organized throughout the year to enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical football skills of the participating physical education teachers.
Various incentive programs will be implemented for participating schools and teachers. Schools and teachers demonstrating a high level of engagement in the project throughout the academic year will be rewarded by AFFA.
The project covers AFFA’s eight football regions across the country. A limited number of participation slots have been allocated for each region. Consequently, applications from all registered general education institutions will be reviewed, and the selected schools will be contacted. General education institutions wishing to participate must complete the registration form provided below. Schools that successfully pass the selection stage will be contacted and provided with detailed information regarding the project's subsequent phases, the provision of equipment, teacher training, and program implementation.
Note: As the number of places available for the project is limited, early registration is recommended.
