The first phase of the Needs Analysis and Support Process - the on-site visit, feedback and individual assessment process for the season 2026 - to the academies of the Misli Premier League clubs has been completed.
Feedback reports were provided by AFFA staff member Sarkhan Huseynov, who is a coach and coordinator for the development of club academies, through on-site visits to some of the clubs and online presentation and discussion sessions with other academies.
The purpose of the visits and reports was to assess the current status of academies and football schools in various areas within the framework of the 5-Star Academy Development Model that AFFA will implement from the next season.
Each academy received an individual presentation, a transparent analysis of the current situation, highlighting strengths, detailed feedback on areas in need of development and a discussion of next steps. AFFA plans to provide support measures to club academies in accordance with the needs identified as a result of the visits and the feedback received from the academy leaders.
This process aims to create not only an evaluation, but also a practical support mechanism for the development of academies. The goal is to develop the children and youth system, which forms the basis of Azerbaijani football, in a long-term, sustainable and professional manner.
