Today, a press conference was held with the participation of Rovshan Najaf, the President of AFFA.
"We should focus on promoting youth football and encourage more fans to attend stadium matches"
During the conference, he announced his resignation from the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the "Neftchi" Club. The President emphasized that development of football in Azerbaijan requires time and systematic work, and he stressed the importance of such efforts: "We are committed to achieving better results, but it's important to remember that football is not just about the outcomes on the field. We also need to focus on improving our infrastructure, training players in our academies, and ensuring transparency in our reporting. Developing youth football and attracting fans to stadiums are also crucial goals that require strategic planning. It's important to keep in mind that building a successful team takes time".

Rovshan Najaf stated that the primary objective is to develop a strategy within a short timeframe: "Financial commitment is essential for the successful implementation of any project. In this case, we are not referring to financial aid from the government, but rather the involvement of private organizations. Additionally, we need to consider means of improving the quality of television broadcasting. Although these may seem like straightforward measures, implementing them will require a significant amount of effort and resources. Nevertheless, I am confident that, as a football community, we can work together towards achieving these goals".

AFFA President said that the media plays an integral role in the development of football: "The media is crucial for coverage of games, interviews, and programs. As AFFA, we plans to work more closely with them".

He mentioned that an advantage from the experience and skills of veteran football players will be gained: "We will take into account the opinions of all members of the football community and develop a program based on their feedback. We will implement this program through various measures. When I say that all members of the football community should work together, I mean that we need to collaborate in order to make this happen".
