"We should turn the chances we create into goals"

“The team started the game well. My boys performed compactly in the first 35 minutes. The opposing players had no chance to shoot. Although we equalized the score after conceding the first goal, they scored again in the added minutes.  I mentioned during the break that we should perform as in the first 35 minutes. The national team of Estonian is a smart team; they retreated to the defense and started to play on the counter-attack. We couldn't take advantage of our chances.
Under normal conditions, we should have finished the first half with a score of 2-0. We had 4-5 real scoring opportunities. That's how football is. If you can't score, the opponent takes advantage of it. Our match against Sweden was like that. We should turn the chances we create into goals. We have to work on the shortcomings. These cannot be solved in 1-2 weeks. It takes time”.
The head coach said that he would continue to think about playing attacking football: "It is difficult to change tactics every time. Today we played in a 3-4-3 formation. I don't want to change it, I want to improve it. In general, I want my team to play attacking football.”
Note that Azerbaijan national team will play the next match against Slovakia on October 14 in Baku.
