National team's training camp was canceled 12.03.2020 National team's training camp was canceled
The training camp, which was planned to be held in Malta from March 23 to March 31, as part of the preparations for the friendly matches against Liechtenstein on March 26 and the Malta national team on March 30 have been cancelled due to recently widespread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in different countries of the world, assessment of the situation as a pandemic by the World Health Organization, refusal of flights from several European countries (Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland) by Malta, risk of travel (virus-related) of foreign players invited to the national team of Azerbaijan, and for the prevention the possibility of infection of team members and delegation. In this regard, the AFFA has informed the UEFA, Malta, and Liechtenstein football federations accordingly.

As reported, AFFA and TFF have held talks on the friendly match between the national teams of Azerbaijan and Turkey. According to the agreement, the teams will meet on May 26 this year. The match will be held at the Oba Stadium in Alanya. We will inform you about the time of the game.

The first part, led by Ilham Azizzadeh and Vugar Askerli, will be completed on December 6. The second part of the course will be held from December 9 to December 12, and the final part will be held from December 16 to 20.

Azerbaijan national team played their last game within the European Beach Soccer League Superfinal round in Figueira, Portugal. Azerbaijan competed against Kazakhstan for guaranteeing its place in the Division A. Azerbaijan succeeded and won the match in 2:1 with the goals scored by Elshad Manafov and Ramil Aliyev.

The next XXVIII Conference of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan was held on January 28 at the “Boulevard Hotel”.
Elkhan Mammadov said that 12 candidates were nominated for 12 seats in the Executive Committee. According to the Regulation, the election to the Executive Committee was also held by open voting, and the following persons were elected members of the AFFA Executive Committee:

The representatives of the national team of Wales, who will play against Turkey and Switzerland in Group A of Euro 2020 at Baku Olympic Stadium, are in Baku.
The delegation, which includes head coach Ryan Giggs, Media and Marketing Manager Ian Gwyn Hughes, Chief of the Security Department Grant Ashton Briggs, and kit manager David Tudor Griffiths, will review the hotels and stadiums, and become familiar with the infrastructure.
AFFA Executive Vice President Elkhan Mammadov has met with the head coach of the national team of Wales Ryan Giggs. The sides exchanged views on Euro 2020 matches to be held in Baku and expressed confidence that the matches will be organized at a high level.
It should be reminded that Elkhan Mammadov also met with the coach of Turkish national team Senol Gunes who visited Baku.
