In order to develop the football infrastructure, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan has launched a new project.
The construction of a new stadium in Shamakhi has begun on the basis of a joint project of AFFA and the Shamakhi District Executive Power.
In addition to the main square, which will meet the relevant standards of the stadium, with a capacity of 2,200 fans, the project also includes the construction of two artificial turf pitches. The tribunes of the main pitch will be covered with a ceiling. Seats for a total of 300 fans will be installed on the artificial turf pitches. There will be a running track around the main playground.
The construction of the stadium will be funded by the "Hat-Trick" project of UEFA and the AFFA budget.
The progress of construction work and other technical issues will be reported from time to time.
