AFFA and Eyeball have signed a cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony at the Wyndham Garden Hotel was attended by AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev, Eyeball Director Manfred Lerley, staff members of the national association and the company, as well as media representatives.
In his speech, Jahangir Farajullayev assessed this cooperation as an important and promising step for Azerbaijani football. He said that in the era of rapid development of digital technologies, it is one of the modern requirements for football to benefit from these opportunities. According to the Secretary General, the agreement will have a positive impact on the activities of clubs, especially those playing in children's and youth leagues, and will create an opportunity for coaches and scouts to obtain more detailed information about football players. Jahangir Farajullayev emphasized that AFFA will strictly monitor the processes in this direction and provide the clubs with the necessary support.
Manfred Lerley first provided information about the activities of Eyeball. He said that the company operates in 43 countries, cooperates with 150 clubs in Europe, and in total works with more than 3,000 clubs and more than 400,000 players. He noted that interest in young players is growing in world football and cooperation with AFFA is of great importance in this regard. Manfred Lerley said that he believes that this cooperation will make a serious contribution to Azerbaijani football and that they will do their best to identify promising players. The guest noted that this platform will contribute to closer monitoring of Azerbaijani teenagers and young players by European clubs, as well as to the formation of favorable conditions for talented players to play as foreign players.
Following the speeches, a contract was signed between the parties and AFFA presented a keepsake to the Eyeball company.
