During the match Araz-Nakhchivan vs Sabah played within the Misli Premier League 26th tour, a social campaign was launched with the joint organization of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as with the support of the Professional Football League (PFL).
As part of the campaign to mark World Health Day, April 7, football players from the teams took to the pitch with children with Down syndrome. The participants wore specially designed uniforms with the slogans Football for Everyone and United for Health, Advancing with Science! dedicated to World Health Day 2026, as well as the logos of partner organizations, conveying the message of promoting inclusion and equal opportunities.
As a continuation of the event, various gifts were presented by FC Araz-Nakhchivan, FC Sabah, PFL and WHO. During the presentation of the gifts, Javahir Suleymanova, acting head of the World Health Organization (WHO) office in Azerbaijan, and other representatives of the organization made speeches and noted the importance of such initiatives. J. Suleymanova emphasized the importance of health protection and the importance of educating the society on this issue. She also noted the importance of the role of people in need of special care in society and stated that programs that support such people are one of the important components of this work.
The main goal of the project is to promote a healthy lifestyle, increase physical activity and contribute to the ideas of inclusion by using the unifying power of football.
