The winners of Schoolchildren Cup Tournament, organized within the framework of joint cooperation between AFFA and the State Agency for Preschool and General Education of the Ministry of Science and Education, have been determined.
The final matches of among 5th grade girls and 5th and 7th grade boys took place at the Sports Palace of Azerbaijan Technical University. The results are as follows:
5th grade girls, final
Imadeddin Nasimi Secondary School No. 1 of Naftalan city vs Samir Hajiyev Secondary School No. 5 of Nasimi district – 3-2
5th grade boys, final
S. Sani Akhundov School No. 172 of Surakhani district vs Mahammad Fuzuli School-Lyceum with a Natural and Humanitarian Subjects of Shamkir city – 3-2
7th grade boys, final
Sumayli village secondary school of Zagatala district vs Nasimikand secondary comprehensive school of Saatli district – 2-1
After the matches, an award ceremony took place. The losing team in the final of each age group was awarded silver medals while the winners were awarded gold medals and a trophy.
In addition, individual awards were also presented. In the 5th grade girls, Nurgul Ahmadzada (Nasimi) was chosen as the best goalkeeper, Zahra Velizada (Naftalan) as the best player, in the 5th grade boys, Raul Hajiyev (Shamkir) was selected the best goalkeeper, Murad Tagiyev (Surakhani) as the best player, in the 7th grade boys, Muhiddin Muradov (Zagatala) was named as the best goalkeeper, and Umut Arslanov (Saatli) was chosen as the best player.
The awards were presented by AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev, AFFA Executive Committee member Leyla Khalilova Rzazada and Director of Azerbaijan national team Ilgar Gurbanov.
