AFFA has launched Football Education Webinars. The first webinar was dedicated to the topic Working with Children and Youth: Development Stages and was attended by coaches representing 11 academies. The event began with the opening speech of AFFA Deputy Secretary General Elchin Mammadov and was led by coaching specialist Sarkhan Huseynov. In the interactive session, participants actively participated in the discussions, sharing their experiences and approaches.
Following the webinar, participants were presented with an electronic reminder resource called the Training Session Checklist that can be used when working with different age groups.
This new initiative is being implemented to address the current needs in the football ecosystem, the challenges of clubs and academies, as well as to strengthen knowledge exchange and professional networking in the field of football. At the same time, this step is aimed at creating a continuous learning environment in the field of football, promoting the sharing of experience and supporting the continuous professional development of professionals.
The main goal is to promote the sharing of experience on current topics, new approaches and challenges, and to form a sustainable platform for sharing football knowledge, with the support of Azerbaijani football experts from various fields, both locally and abroad.
Initially, it is planned to hold webinars for coaches working in academies covering the development stages of working with children and youth, child psychology and a safe environment.
In the next stages, it is planned to organize webinars on scouting, talent identification, sports psychology, first aid, child protection, combating word games and other relevant areas, covering a wider target audience.
