During the meeting of AFFA Executive Committee on March 14, 2025, it was made a decision to grant a 1-year grace period to clubs that will be qualified for the Premier League in order to eliminate deficiencies in infrastructure, administrative and other areas in connection with the increase in the number of teams in the season 2025/2026 of Azerbaijan Premier League.
According to this decision, the following one-season grace postponements will be granted to clubs that have not played in the Premier League in the last three seasons and have been promoted from League I to the Premier League based on the results of the last season (Karvan-Yevlakh FK, Imishli FK):
1. The coaching qualification levels specified in the Licensing Rules for coaches working for the clubs, are considered acceptable one license lower (not lower than UEFA License C).
2. The clubs may not participate in the leagues U-16, U-17, U-19 and substitute teams.
