UEFA Share Grassroots Workshop is being held in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The event to take place from April 21 to 23, aims to expand the exchange of experiences between European countries in developing school football, increasing its popularity and involving children in sports.
The Workshop is attended by delegations from 19 countries - Azerbaijan, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Wales. Important topics such as the implementation of football projects in schools, increasing children's interest in sports from an early age, and promoting the principles of inclusion and gender equality are discussed within the framework of the event.
AFFA is represented at the seminar by Head of Grassroots Football Department, Farrukh Ismayilov, and leading specialists of the Department, Orkhan Mikayilli and Ziya Safarov. The delegation will get acquainted with the successful experiences of various countries and participate in interactive sessions.
Note that such events are one of the main directions of UEFA's grassroots football strategy and serve to strengthen the sharing of knowledge and experience among member associations.
