AFFA Executive Committee ordinary meeting was held today. After discussions, the following decisions were made:
1. To approve the Statutes of AFFA Audit Committee. Khalid Javadov will be temporarily appointed a chairman of the committee for 3 months. To extend the contract with him until March 2024 by mutual consent of the parties after the expiration of this period.
2. To hold the season 2022/2023 of Azerbaijan Premier League with the participation of 10 teams. To approve the participation of the clubs “Kapaz” and “Turan-Tovuz” received the appropriate licenses, in the Premier League.
3. To apply foreign players limit in the season 2022/2023 of Azerbaijan Premier League by the system 7 + 4 (7 foreign players, 4 local players).
4. Taking into account the international experience, the rules applied in UEFA national teams and club competitions, to allow five substitutions during Azerbaijan Premier League matches from the season 2022/2023. At least two players must be local players instead of players leaving the pitch.
5. To appoint Naib Asadov a member of AFFA Disciplinary Committee.
6. In accordance with the recommendation of the relevant commission, to grant AFFA pension to the following former football players:
- Melik Hasanov
- Khanoghlan Abbasov
- Ali Huseynov
- Boris Tibilov
At the end of the meeting, Zaur Akhundov, a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Shamakhi Football Club, mentioned that he resigned from his position at the club due to his busy schedule and time limit due to the distance to and from the city of Shamakhi. Zaur Akhundov noted that he would continue his activity as the President of the Azerbaijan Futsal Federation.
After the meeting, AFFA President Rovnag Abdullayev, members of the Executive Committee and General Secretary Sarkhan Hajiyev watched the training session of Azerbaijan national team.
