AFFA Executive Committee ordinary meeting was held at Baku Olympic Stadium (BOS) today.
Before discussing the issues on the agenda, AFFA President Rovnag Abdullayev was acquainted with the VAR Center organized at BOS. AFFA President was informed about the working principle of the VAR Center.
Then, on behalf of the Executive Committee, Rovnag Abdullayev wished every successes to Vice President Elkhan Mammadov, who to join FIFA as Director Member Associations Europe.
After discussions, the following decisions were made:
1. From the season 2022/2023, the football clubs Imishli, Mingachevir and Araz Nakhchivan will play for First Division.
2. To continue to apply the foreign players limit in the format of 6+5 in Azerbaijan Championship.
3. To abolish the age limit for young players in Premier League.
4. Not change the number of substitutions in Azerbaijan Championship (keep 3 substitutions).
5. From the season 2022/2023, clubs can include 14 foreign players in their request. To set at 50,000 (fifty thousand) AZN the request fee for each foreign player in addition to 14 foreign players.
6. From the season 2023/2024, clubs can include 12 foreign players in their request. To set at 50,000 (fifty thousand) AZN the request fee for each foreign player in addition to 12 foreign players.
7. To instruct the General Secretariat to prepare the Statutes of AFFA Audit Committee. To submit the Statutes to the Executive Committee within 1 month.
