The representative of Azerbaijan in the UEFA Conference League, FC Zira, played the second-leg match within the first qualifying round. The Baku-based club faced Georgia’s Torpedo (Kutaisi) in an away match.
FC Zira defeated their opponent 3-0 in the match at Shengelia Arena in Kutaisi just as they did in the first-leg match at home. Eren Aydin scored in the 25th and 70th minute, while Amin Seydiyev scored in the 39th minute.
Consequently, FC Zira advanced to the second qualifying round. Their opponent in this round will be the Estonian club Paide. The matches for this stage are scheduled for July 23 and 30. FC Zira to play first-leg match away.
