The Academy of Individual Development called “Girls Can” is launching within the framework of cooperation between AFFA and UNICEF.
A comprehensive training course on "Basic Life Skills" has been launched within the framework of the event. AFFA Deputy General Secretary Sarkhan Hajiyev and Aida Aylarova, Youth and Adolescent Development Specialist of the UNICEF Office in Azerbaijan participated in the first training session for members of the Azerbaijan Women’s Under-17 team at the AFFA headquarter.
The trainings are conducted within the framework of the project "Promoting the value of girls in society through the power of sport" implemented with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The academy is organized for the members of Azerbaijan Women’s Youth teams, and the aim of the Academy is to develop different skills of girls. The Academy will include communication skills, stress management, decision-making, cyber security, business development, financial literacy, healthy habits and other subjects. If necessary, girls will be consulted by instructor-psychologist. The content of the Basic Life Skills training has been adapted for girls by the UNICEF international expert.
