SCALE Project (Special dual Career paths Against early Leaving from Education and training) was launched in schools and football clubs within the cooperation between AFFA and the Ministry of Science and Education.
The Project will last until December 2025, and the main goal is to prevent young football players from dropout of education, and to support their development both in sports and in the academic field.
The SCALE Project is implemented within the joint cooperation of the football associations of Azerbaijan, Italy, Romania, Malta and Moldova and is supported by UEFA. The project aims to enable young players to succeed in both school and football by applying a dual career model.
The first training was held at school-lyceum number 220 in Baku. This training was organized for teachers-coaches from Baku schools participating in the Project, and the main topics were the dual career model, academic support methods for young football players. The trainings were conducted by project coordinator Kifayat Mustafayeva and instructors Gulyana Ozcan, Ofelia Gafarova.
The SCALE Project will be implemented in different schools and football academies of Baku under the leadership of AFFA. This initiative is to combine education and sports and to help young athletes to increase their academic success and develop their football careers.
