A Strategic Communications Workshop was organized in the meeting hall of Wyndham Garden Baku Hotel in Baku by the UEFA National Associations Communications Unit, as part of the UEFA Grow efforts to help national associations achieve their potential.
Importance of strategic communication, stakeholder audits and team potential assessments, strengthening AFFA's image and reputation, planning strategic priorities in terms of communication, identifying target audiences and formulating key messages were discussed during the two-day event.
Communication approaches, tournament organization, promotion and legacy communication for what hosting international tournaments mean for AFFA and Azerbaijan were also discussed during the Workshop.
In addition, interactive group work was organized for the participants, where they exchanged views on relevant topics and discussed practical approaches. During the group discussions, local experience, international approaches and development opportunities were the main focus.
