Zahra Velizada, a Social Projects Manager of AFFA Social and Environmental Sustainability Department, has been selected as the Young Representative for Azerbaijan for 2026-2027 by the European Sports NGOs (ENGSO) Youth, one of the most influential youth platforms in European sports.
AFFA’s staff member is going to work in the Sustainable Development Working Group for the next two years. During this period, she will represent Azerbaijan at events on international sports diplomacy and sustainability. ENGSO Youth Young Representatives program brings together active and knowledgeable young people in the sports sector who advocate for the rights of children and youth and promote sport as a tool for social change.
Within the framework of this program, Zahra Velizada will participate in the preparation of action plans in international working groups, gain experience in the application of European standards in sports and youth policy, and benefit from international mentoring and networking opportunities in the field.
