An agreement on the sponsorship of the VAR system was signed between AFFA and "PASHA Insurance" company in the administrative building of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan today.
According to the contract signed for a period of one year, VAR rooms located in Baku Olympic Stadium will be called "PASHA Insurance VAR rooms".
The agreement was signed by AFFA General Secretary Sarkhan Hajiyev and Chairman of the Management Board of "PASHA Insurance" OJSC Ulviyya Jabbarova.
Sarkhan Hajiyev: "Work is carried out in accordance with the procedural rules related to the application of VAR - video assistant referee system in Azerbaijani football. We are very glad that "PASHA Insurance" has shown us its support in implementing this system. AFFA and "PASHA Insurance" have had effective cooperation since 2010. We believe that our mutual cooperation will be beneficial and long-term for both parties".
Ulviyya Jabbarova: "We are sure that the sponsorship agreement we signed today will be successful both for "PASHA Insurance" and for Azerbaijani football. As mentioned, we have a long-term cooperation with AFFA, and we are all happy that this cooperation will continue to develop. We hope that with our support for the implementation of the VAR system, we will contribute to ensuring even more justice in football refereeing. Because the main purpose of the VAR system is to assist in making fair decisions".
