Emrah Aykurt: “Our goal is to form a unified football concept in the national teams”
In his statement to the AFFA press service, the technical director assessed the appointment of Rovshan Gasimov, who continues to work as assistant coach of the Women’s national A-team, as head coach of the Women’s Under-15 team and Khanlar Aliyev as head coach of the Women’s Under-17 team: “In accordance with the strategic goals set by the AFFA leadership, one of our most important goals is to form a unified football concept starting from the lower age groups to the highest level. We want our Women’s U-15, U-17, U-19 and A national teams to operate on the basis of the same game philosophy, the same training principles and the same development model. For this purpose, we have appointed our assistant coaches working for the main national team as head coaches for the U-15 and U-17 teams. Our goal is for the coaches who know the A team's game model and philosophy best to correctly and consistently transmit this approach to our young players.”
Emrah Aykurt also shared his thoughts on the appointment of Mana Mollayeva, a member of the Women's national team, as an assistant coach for the Under-15 national team, and Gunay Ismayilova as a goalkeeper coach: “With these appointments, we are providing our young players with role models who will serve as role models, and we are also ensuring that the culture, values, and professional standards of the national team are passed on to the new generation.”
He also clarified the appointment of Ali Muradov as a fitness coach for the Women’s U-15, U-17 and U-19 teams: “Along with technical development, one of our priorities is to develop physical training in all age groups according to uniform standards. For this purpose, Ali Muradov has been appointed as a fitness coach in order to strengthen the physical training of all national teams in the lower age groups, improve the athletic performance of players and unify physical training standards among teams. This approach serves to systematically monitor the physical development of players, optimize performance indicators and organize the transition process between age groups more efficiently. We believe that this single structural and integrated development model will support the long-term development of our players, making the transition process from lower age groups to the main national team stronger, more sustainable and more effective.”
