Head coach of Azerbaijan A-team, Gianni De Biasi, and the captain of the team, Emin Mahmudov, said during the pre-match press conference organized before the match Estonia vs Azerbaijan to be held tomorrow at Le Coq Arena in Tallinn within the UEFA EURO-2024 qualifying round.
Gianni De Biasi: “We did not perform well in the first half of the first-leg game against Estonia in Baku. In the second half, we played a completely different game. Tomorrow we have to play as in the second part of the first-leg game. No head coach says before a game that he wants to lose or play a draw game. We have to play very smart tomorrow.
We have played 13 matches during the last year. We have won in 6 matches. We lost to strong opponents like Austria and Sweden. A big defeat in those matches should be a lesson for us.”
Emin Mahmudov: "The game against Estonia is very important for us. We want to get our first victory in this match.
When I'm here, I only think about the national team and I want to do my best. Tomorrow will be an important day. The need to demonstrate our maximum strength. We will do our best to win tomorrow. We intend to return home with a good result.”
