Agil Nabiyev, head of the Azerbaijan Under-16 team spoke to the AFFA press service before the final match against Russia within the III CIS Games.
Head coach said that the team is ready for the decisive match: “When we came to the tournament, our goal was to reach the final first, and then become champions. We have achieved the minimum goal by qualifying for the final. Tomorrow's game is very important for us. Our team is ready for the final match.
We have analyzed both games that the Russian team played in the group, we know their strengths and weaknesses. No matter how difficult it is, we will do our best to win the final. For this, we need to be more aggressive and willing. There are no favorites in the final, the teams have fifty-fifty chances.”
Agil Nabiyev emphasized that fan support could be decisive in the final: “We need fan support to cheer our team to victory during the tomorrow's match. I believe that our fans will be with us tomorrow. We are a young team, and the players need support and motivation. I hope that we will play the final match in front of full stadium.”
The match Azerbaijan (U-16) vs Russia (U-16) match will be played at Gabala City Stadium on October 4 and kick off at 14:00.
