Below is the opinion expressed by the head coach of our team, Gianni De Biasi, at the press conference held today after the Azerbaijan-Sweden game, played at the Republic Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov as part of the qualifying round of EURO 2024:
“We didn’t take much risks in the first half. After the break we had some problems. The players deserve applause and more than that. Even when the team loses, full support must be provided. We put all our strength on the pitch in every match. Today we gave our heart to that match on the field. Our team consists of good players. We struggled till the end even when there were 10 of us left.
On Sunday we have a tough match against Belgium. We will prepare well for this match, too."
